Bruce Brannen

I am a fifth generation descendent of Arch Brannen. I was born in Clark's Harbour and grew up in Centreville. I attended CHHS and BMHS and much later University of Windsor.

After leaving Cape Island I spent forty-two years lending money or trying to get it back for various financial companies: a bank twice, two sales finance companies, two trust companies and a life Insurance company. My career gave me the opportunity to get to know every nook and cranny of Canada.

I grew up listening to the oral history of Cape Island from my parents. After retiring I became concerned that with the passing of our elders; we were losing our history. For the last few years, I have been trying to find and consolidate stories, photos and documents from our previous generations.

I hope you will help make it better by pointing out any errors, stories, information and photos that would add to its value.
